Understand first
We begin by listening carefully and recognizing the whole person, not only the reason they arrived.
Napier Counseling, Inc provides reentry programming, behavior supports, and mental health counseling—offered by people who understand the road because they have lived experience with incarceration, addiction, and recovery.
Napier Counseling was built around a simple belief: people are more likely to trust support when the people offering it understand what change can cost—and what it can make possible.
Our staff bring lived experience with incarceration and addiction/recovery. That experience informs how we listen, how we encourage accountability, and how we stay present when the work becomes difficult.
Led by President Brittany L. Napier, whose career includes 22 years in service work, Napier Counseling brings together structured reentry programming, practical behavior supports, and mental health counseling in one thoughtful place.
We are building from a strong foundation—and leaving room to grow alongside the people and communities we serve.
“Empathy from experience changes the conversation.”
It helps people feel seen without being reduced to a past decision, a diagnosis, or a difficult chapter. From there, real work can begin.

Programs focus on concrete choices, relationships, coping, and next steps that can carry into daily life.
Our services are designed to deepen over time as community needs and new opportunities emerge.
